Bess de Farber specializes in planning, coaching and grants management.  She has spent the past 20 years working in the nonprofit sector as a financial manager, program director, funder, grants manager, executive director and now consultant/facilitator. She has trained and provided technical assistance to over 700 organizations.

Bess co-created the Nonprofit Resource Institute in West Palm Beach, Florida in 1998. In 2002, she created the CoLAB Planning Series, currently the only known workshop series geared to having organization representatives who are new to each other produce collaborative programs.

Through her partnership efforts, Bess has raised over $10 million for nonprofits in Palm Beach County.  She has served on grant panels for the Florida Division of Cultural Affairs, National Endowment for the Arts, Education Foundation of Palm Beach County, Dade Children’s Trust, and George Snow Scholarship Fund in the disciplines of folk arts, arts-in-education, chamber music, teachers' projects for the classroom, statewide approved artists directory inclusion, prevention programs for children and scholarships for graduating high school seniors.

Bess holds a bachelor’s in music - clarinet performance - from the University of Southern California, a master’s in nonprofit management from Florida Atlantic University, and is one of only 300 certified professional facilitators in the US through the International Association of Facilitators.
