Information Collection

When you browse our website, you do so anonymously, even if you have previously registered with us.  The one exception is if while visiting you request information from us that requires us to capture personal data in order to respond to your request. Otherwise, the web server automatically recognizes only the Internet domain and IP address from which you accessed the site.  This is for the purpose of gathering data on the volume and timing of access to the site as well as the pages that are visited so that the content of the site can be improved.  It does not result in the identification of your personal e-mail address or other personal information. 

If you choose to share personal information, such as by subscribing to an e-newsletter, sending a message, or filling out an electronic form with personal information, the information will be saved so that CoreStrategies’ personnel may contact you for relationship-building and marketing purposes.  However, information will not be disclosed to third parties or government agencies, unless required by state or federal law.

Access to certain CoreStrategies’ web pages requires a login and a password. The use of those web pages, and the information downloadable from those sites, may be governed by a written agreement between you and/or your organization and CoreStrategies.

We will always give you the opportunity to "opt out" of receiving any information or marketing materials. This means we assume you have given us your consent to collect and use your information in accordance with this Privacy Statement unless you take affirmative action to indicate that you do not consent, for instance by clicking or checking the appropriate option or box at the point of collection.

 

How We Use Information Collected

CoreStrategies uses the information we gather to fulfill your requests for information, services and certain products.  We may also use it to market CoreStrategies or send you sector news that we believe will be of interest to you.

E-mail Newsletters
CoreStrategies asks for contact information if you wish to subscribe to our e-mail newsletters.  At that time we may also request information about your professional interests and responsibilities. We use this information in the same manner as we use contact information provided when you request information, services and certain products as described above.

Recipients of our newsletters can unsubscribe using the instructions listed at the end of the e-mail newsletter.

Surveys
From time to time we invite website users and others to provide information via surveys. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary and the website user or other therefore has a choice whether to disclose requested contact and demographic information.   

Interactive Features
CoreStrategies offers a number of interactive features on our website and in our newsletters.  Note that all personal information sent or posted via such features becomes public information for which we are not responsible.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or lend the personal data, including e-mail addresses, of anyone on our database. 

We will only disclose your personal information if required to do so by law. 

Your Ability to Update Your Information, Opt In or Out or Ask to be Removed

You may change your personal information, your opt in/opt out preferences or request to be removed from CoreStrategies’ database by sending an email to Comments@CoreStrategies4Nonprofits.com.  If you choose to be removed from our database, we will retain some personal information in our files to be able to show what actions were requested and how and when we complied. 

 

Data Security

While CoreStrategies strives to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure the security of the information you transmit to us, and so we urge you to take every precaution to protect your personal data when you are on the Internet.

 

Third Party Sites

CoreStrategies’ website contains links to other sites. CoreStrategies does not share your personal information with those websites and is not responsible for their privacy practices. Once you have left our website, you should check the applicable privacy statement of the third party website to determine how they will handle any information they collect from you.

Likewise, if you have arrived at our website through a link on another website, you should not infer that we have knowledge of that link or the business that includes that link on its website, or that we endorse in any manner the business conducted by the owner of that or any other website that includes a link to CoreStrategies.

CoreStrategies may amend this privacy statement from time to time. If we make any substantial changes in the way we use your personal information we will make that information available by posting a notice on this site.
